How can a hotel app lead to revenue generation?

Sub- Title:
This post is the second part of Friday's post. In this post we are going to discuss how a hotel mobile app can help generate revenue through your on-property amenities.

Spa/Restaurant: In most cases, your hotel mobile app will have the ability for guests to book appointments and reservations. They can also see reviews on Yelp and share their experiences through social media. In addition to the app features, using the app to drive traffic can be very effective. For example, if a guest books a facial or dinner reservation through the app, you could offer them special incentives such as a 15-minute add-on to a message or a free appetizer at the bar.

Special Events/Weddings: Brides want their day to be the best day ever, but they also need convenience. Show event planners and brides-to-be how easy it is to plan functions at your hotel. You could use the scene section to outline possible event scenarios. A custom itinerary on your app could be called “Wedding Planning” and include nearby vendors such as florists, caterers, bakeries, bands, and transportation. The convenience of your app for event planners could be what sets your hotel apart from the competition — and wins you the event.

Outdoor activities: If your hotel is in a part of the world known for its seasonal appeal, a push notification can increase your revenue of outdoor activities in the off-season. If your hotel is known for great skiing and there is a fluke snow storm in April, a push will allow you to quickly inform anyone with your app that the slopes are open. The same applies to beachfront properties. If the weather is predicted to be sunny in the 70’s in January that will be a great time for you to drive traffic.
